Rebuilding Family Life in Alice Springs – Congress

Alice Council meeting Wednesday April 27th 6.30pm. On the agenda - a deputation from Central Aust Aboriginal Congress entitled – Rebuilding Family Life in Alice Springs and Central Australia: the social and community dimensions of change for our people. Sadly the presentation got a bit bogged down on whether or not Council would support a floor price for alcohol.  As this is an NT Government decision, I was disappointed to have to spend time rehashing the old arguments.  I was very interested in the project aimed at helping young parents during the first years – this needs to be looked at more indepth.
